- Otec - Eco-Maxi
Economical modular concept with high tech design
The modular concept of the ECO-Maxi makes it ideal for small series production. Their high-tech design makes these machines extremely economical, with savings being as much as 60 % compared to the cost of conventional finishing. To cater for specific applications, the ECO-Maxi is available in the versions “magnetic”, “wet” and “dry” and as a flexible all-rounder, the “basic” model.
Selling points are:
- Clean and bright workpiece surfaces. Completely removes any traces of sanding/grinding and casting skin for perfect results.
- A surface finish equal in quality to that of manual polishing. Puts a shine even on inaccessible areas of intricate workpieces and completely removes oxidation discoloration and any residual investment material.
- Flexible in use. This machine type is the first to use three separate or up to three different finishing processes in a single machine.
Magnetic polishing
Magnetic polishing is the ideal preliminary step before wet processing. The surfaces are mechanically processed by means of tiny, rounded steel pins without causing material abrasion (important for valuable materials such as gold). The advantage of magnetic polishing is that even highly complex and delicate geometries can be processed perfectly and in the tiniest corners. With this process the surfaces achieve a beautiful shine.
Standard Equipment:
- Speed control via frequency inverter.
- LCD indicating speed and process time up to 1,900 rpm.
- Automatic change in the direction of rotation.
- 6 l process container.
- 200 g rounded stainless steel pins M 4/7.
- 1 l compound SC 4
Wet grinding
This involves an abrasive process, in which the work pieces are finished by means of special plastic abrasives. The work pieces are moved around in a toroidal flow through the process container. Because of the different masses between the work pieces and the plastic abrasives, the material is removed and flushed out by means of the water/compound mixture. This replaces the burdensome and time consuming hand polishing and achieves very fine surfaces in as little as 3-4 hours. The patented OTEC technology represents high efficiency and unsurpassed results. Even the smallest parts can be easily processed.
Standard Equipment:
- Speed control via frequency inverter.
- Bayonet fitting for easy container removal.
- LCD indicating speed and processing time.
- 6 l process container for wet finishing including dosing pump and waster water tank.
Dry polishing
The dry polishing machines achieve finishes as if polished by “hand”. The finest polishing granulate ensures minimal material removal in the micro-region and a brilliant shine – without damaging the set stones in the process.
Standard Equipment:
- Speed control via frequency inverter.
- Bayonet fitting for container.
- LCD indicating speed and processing time.
- 6 l process container for dry finishing.
