Accepted assumptions
- The machine performs a linear pressure ramp from the initial to the final value.
- The ramp is selected so that the total pressure on the holes is approximately constant.
- The flow rate is then treated as constant, and the ramp time is taken equal to the drain time.
- Viscosity, wetting, oxide film and geometric losses are included only through the flow coefficient Cd and the calibration coefficient.
The model is useful for setup and comparison, but a real-machine calibration run is still recommended.
